Tornadoes FC

Team Profile

The Tornadoes began their journey in New Jersey Youth Soccer at
the U8 level. The team operates as an independent organization
that is financed by the families and is focused on providing the best
environment for the continued growth of our players.

Now in our 10th year, the team plays in the Mid-Atlantic Premier
Soccer (MAPS) flight of the Central Jersey Youth Soccer
Association (CJYSA) and competes against other premier teams in
the tri-state area.


Coaches' Profiles

Sandip Sahota

Sandip, an employee of a major investment bank in NYC, holds a  
USSF National D license and has been training the team since the
U8 level. A non-parent volunteer who grew up playing the sport in
schools and backyards across Africa, Europe and the US, Sandip
has worked to establish the motto the team lives by: "play for the
love of the game." Sandip is now starting the journey again; he is
currently coaching his son's 1st grade recreation soccer team!

Laura Schaefer

Laura is currently on her second tour of duty with the Tornadoes.
Having been with the team as an Assistant Coach in her high
school days, when she was a standout All-American who led her
Chatham High School soccer team to the State title, she has now
returned from Marist College to help lead the team again. She
holds a USSF National D license and brings her great energy, drive
and commitment to the team.
